A man was stabbed on Monday near Uphams Corner in Dorchester, police said.

Boston police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Dudley Street and Columbia Road at just past 8:30 p.m., said police spokesman James Kenneally.

The man had been stabbed and had an injury to his face, police said. His injuries were non life-threatening, said Kenneally.

First responders took the man to Boston Medical Center, police said.

No further information about the victim was released.
