NH parolee allegedly robbed bank one day after being released from prison

A New Hampshire man is expected to return soon to the Granite State, where he allegedly robbed a bank one day after being paroled from state prison after serving a prison term for an escape conviction, officials said.

Eric D. Lord appeared in Leominster District Court Monday, where he was ordered held on $15,000 cash bail as a fugitive from justice, said Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.’s office.

Lord, 43, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police in Leominster Sunday amid concerns that he was planning to rob a Bay State bank, but Early’s office said Lord will not be facing any charges in Massachusetts.
