Two Transit Police officers were injured while struggling with a violent offender Tuesday afternoon, MBTA officials said. At about 3:30 p.m., a woman was indecently assaulted on an Orange Line train approaching Forest Hills, authorities said. The alleged offender fled at the station, and officers were allegedly struck repeatedly while attepting to subdue Samoal Abdelmagid, 42, of Boston, Transit Police said. Other officers arrived to take Abdelmagid into custody, and he is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in West Roxbury District Court on charges of indecent assault and battery and various assault charges, Transit Police said. Both officers were taken to area hospitals with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
