A Boston police cruiser crashed on Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester on Wednesday, injuring two officers, authorities said. The officers were responding to the area of Seaver and Normandy streets around 6 p.m., where police had pursued a driver who hit multiple cars while refusing to stop, authorities said. A police officer was almost struck by the car and a pedestrian leaped over a fence to avoid the vehicle, said David Estrada, a police spokesman. Approaching the scene, the cruiser struck a vehicle before hitting a fence, police said. The two officers sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and the driver of the other vehicle was uninjured, said Estrada. The suspect was apprehended.
