One of the three people charged Monday with misleading police in their investigation of the disappearance of 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver of Fitchburg allegedly threatened the little boy’s mother, according to court documents.
Cailey Thibault, 23, is facing charges, along with Ashley M. Cormier, 24, and Christian Sierra, 21, under the witness intmidation statute.
Sierra is the brother of Alberto L. Sierra, who has been charged along with his girlfriend, Jeremiah’s mother, Elsa Oliver, in connection with Jeremiah’s disappearance. Thibault and Cormier are friends of Alberto Sierra and Elsa Oliver, according to court documents.
Thibault allegedly threatened Elsa Oliver with violence in December in an effort to get her to go to Fitchburg Court. The police report filed in support of the charges did not say why Thibault allegedly made the threat.
Jeremiah’s whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities fear he is dead. Neither Elsa Oliver nor Alberto Sierra are charged with killing him.
But Elsa Oliver faces two counts of reckless endangerment of a child and two counts of accessory after the fact of a felony (assault and battery with a dangerous weapon), according to a statement from Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.’s office.
And Alberto Sierra is facing two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury.
