Elsa Oliver, the mother of Jeremiah Oliver, a missing Fitchburg boy who is presumed dead, and her boyfriend Alberto Sierra were indicted Friday on charges related to the boy’s disappearance.

According to WCVB:

His mother, Elsa Oliver, 28, is being charged with permitting bodily injury to a child, three counts of reckless endangerment of a child, kidnapping a child, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of assault and battery.

Alberto Sierra is also being indicted in connection with the case.

The (Fitchburg) Sentinel & Enterprise reports:

Sierra, 23, of 164 Meadowbrook Lane, Fitchburg, was indicted on charges of indecent assault and battery on a child, permitting bodily injury to a child, three counts of reckless endangerment of a child, kidnapping a child, assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault and battery.

Jeremiah Oliver, 5, was last seen in September, but police did not learn about his disappearance until December.

Oliver and Sierra will be arraigned in Worcester at a later date.
