Fewer candidates than positions on ballot

Following the annual Town Caucus earlier this month, nominations were submitted for 10 of the 12 positions in this spring’s election. Seven of the 10 nominees are incumbents; new to the town ballot are Nathan Brown and Vanessa Moroney, who are running for two seats on the Board of Selectmen, and Mark Levitan, who is running for the Housing Authority. As of last week, all 10 candidates were unopposed, and there were no candidates for seats on the School Committee and the Planning Board. The election will be held May 6.
