Two men are facing charges that they hid two kilograms of cocaine in the bottom of a child’s car seat while driving on Route 28 in Medford Saturday night, State Police said in a statement.

Royer Vasquez Delrosario, 24, of New Jersey, and Victor Nicolas Soto Sanchez, 29, of New York, pleaded not guilty in Malden District Court to charges of trafficking over 2,000 grams of cocaine, and several traffic violations.

Sanchez is being held on $50,000 cash bail and was ordered to surrender his passport. Delrosario is being held on $30,000 cash bail, according to Middlesex district attorney spokeswoman Stephanie Guyotte.

Delrosario’s Honda Accord was pulled over by state troopers at 5:45 p.m. Saturday for motor vehicle violations while traveling north on Route 28 in Medford.

The car came to a stop on Route 16 in Everett, where troopers conducted a search of the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested after troopers uncovered two bricks of cocaine hidden in the bottom of a child’s car seat.

There was no child in the vehicle, State Police said.

Both men are to return to court May 1 for a probable cause hearing, said Guyotte.
