Two people died Monday in an explosion and fire at a Manchester, N.H., home, fire officials said. Firefighters received a call about an explosion that ignited the wooden, ranch-style home on Mooresville Road at about 2:40 p.m., said District Fire Chief Mark Pelletier. The cause of the blast is under investigation, he said. The explosion caused the building to dislodge from its foundation, and it was a total loss, Manchester Fire District Chief Michael Gamache said in a press release. The identities of the victims have not been released. No further information was available Monday night.
