A major snowstorm is brewing offshore today, expected to slam the Massachusetts coast with up to 10 inches of snow, heavy winds, and coastal flooding between tonight and Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning to residents along the southeastern coast. Between 6 and 10 inches of snow will be accompanied by wind gusts as fast as 60 miles per hour and some moderate coastal flooding during Wednesday morning’s high tide.
