Remy, Martel families say agreement reached over little girl’s custody

A lawyer for the Remy family says a “mutually satisfying” agreement has been reached to settle a battle over the custody of the daughter of Jared Remy and Jennifer Martel, the woman Remy is accused of murdering.

Arianna Remy, 5, has been in foster care while Remy’s parents — Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy and Phoebe Remy — and Martel’s family sought custody in the wake of the August slaying.

The parties appeared today in a brief Probate and Family Court hearing in Cambridge. Jerry and Phoebe Remy immediately left, but their lawyer stayed behind to comment.
