Extended late-night MBTA weekend service begins on Friday, March 28.

The time has come! Beginning this Friday, March 28, the MBTA will extend its weekend service hours on Friday and Saturday nights by an extra 90 minutes. The subway and 15 popular bus routes will run until 3 a.m. as part of the new one-year program.

According to the MBTA:

The last Red/Orange/Green/Blue Line trains depart downtown stations at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday nights and approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Individual schedules for each station and route can vary.

The public transportation services affected include the Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Mattapan, and Silver Lines (except SL2), and the following bus routes: 1, 15, 22, 23, 28, 32, 39, 57, 66, 71, 73, 77, 111, and 116/117.
