Todashev reports leave Waltham wondering about 2011 homicides

WALTHAM — Mayor Jeannette McCarthy’s job requires her to keep her constituents informed, including about the unsolved slayings of three men in a house just off Main Street more than two years ago.

But two government reports issued this week showed that the Massachusetts State Police, the FBI, and even a Florida prosecutor know more about the Sept. 11, 2011 slayings on a dead-end road than the mayor, the neighbors, or the rest of the town.

“Bottom line is, ‘Would I like them to come out and have a press conference in Waltham and tell the people of Waltham what happened? Yes, that’s what I would like,” McCarthy said this week, “because normally that’s what happens.”
