Planners consider pavilion construction by Patriot Place

Town planners are considering a request by the Kraft Group to construct a 20,000-square-foot pavilion behind the Gillette Stadium Ticket Office in Patriot Place, outside the stadium’s Bank of America gate. If approved, the two-level facility — to be used for functions during stadium and other events — could be open as soon as the fall. Kraft Group management have submitted a site plan to the town’s Planning Board and an initial public hearing on the project was to be held last week. The pavilion is expected to have two entrances, a lower gallery, kitchen, mezzanine, and outdoor deck. Company officials have made the case there will be no impact on traffic, parking, or public safety.
