Boston police are investigating a fatal shooting in the Mission Main housing development Monday morning in Roxbury, according to The Boston Globe.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released. One witness reported the victim appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds in his torso.

Police said the shooting was reported at 11:47 a.m. The gunshot victim, whom authorities declined to identify, was transported to the nearby Brigham and Women's Hospital, said Nick Martin, a spokesman for Boston Emergency Medical Services. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital and is the 16th homicide victim in Boston this year, police said. As police were removing crime scene tape about 1 p.m., neighbor Segundo Santiago, 78, said the said he heard three or four shots from his Smith Street apartment around 11:45 a.m. "Boom-boom-boom," said his wife, Edna, describing the sound she heard in her kitchen. While firefighters washed blood from the pavement mere feet from her door, a woman who said she called 911 described hearing gunshots while she watched "The Price is Right." Then she went to the back door and watched a man she knew only as "Kai" stumble into the parking lot that separates two rows of three-story apartment buildings.
