Man dies in head-on collision in Hanover

A 96-year-old man died Monday after his car allegedly swerved into oncoming traffic and ran head-on into a large SUV, police said.

Robert Dill was driving on Circuit Street about 5:40 p.m. Monday when he sideswiped two cars, said Hanover Police Lieutenant Greg Nihan.

He then swerved into the opposite lane and crashed his 2014 Lincoln into a Chevrolet Suburban, said Nihan.

Dill was pronounced dead at the scene. The two women in the Suburban were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Nihan.

Hanover police will investigate. Nihan said he did not believe the crash was weather-related.
