Cohasset panel recommends rebuilding newer portion of the old town hall

The addition to the historic town hall facing Cohasset Common is only 27 years old, but it’s in such rough shape that it should be demolished and replaced, at the same time that the original 1827 building is restored -- at an estimated cost of $12 million.

That’s the recommendation of the committee looking into the future of the town facility, which posted its report on the town website last week.
