The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has postponed local public hearings on $1 billion resort casinos projects proposed for Everett and Revere originally scheduled for this week.
The state’s gambling law requires the commission to hold a public hearing in a community where a casino is proposed.
“We had a number of scheduling conflicts for a number of necessary participants so we plan to reschedule for early May,” said Elaine Driscoll, the commission spokeswoman.
Wynn Resorts has proposed to build a resort casino on 37 acres of vacant industrial land along the Mystic River.
Mohegan Sun has proposed a competing plan for 42 acres on the Revere side of the Suffolk Downs horse racetrack that straddles the East Boston line.
