Senior citizens who are concerned about whether their homes have the proper monitoring systems for smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide can call the Fire Department at 978-540-2302 or drop by the department’s headquarters at 20 Foster St. to schedule a free safety inspection, and receive help, if needed, with the installation of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Fire Department members are available to answer questions and provide technical support, officials said.
