Though open only a few weeks, KKatie’s Burger Bar is already attracting crowds to what had been a quiet group of storefronts on Ocean Street in Marshfield.

Owner Kate McSorley opened her first burger bar in Plymouth in 2010, and hasn’t wandered far from its successful menu. Burgers remain the staples, which are offered in a variety that feels adventurous without veering into the absurd. Take for example the Double Decker Melt, a thick Angus burger nestled between two grilled cheese sandwiches, with bacon, lettuce, mayo, and tomato.
