Local trust groups to open application process for affordable home

Bread & Roses Housing Community Land Trust, in partnership with the North Andover Affordable Housing Trust, is opening its application process for an affordable three-bedroom, one-bath, single-family house with a garage and yard at 91 Waverly Road . The selling price is $175.000. The buyer must meet owner-occupancy restrictions and income guidelines. To be eligible, an applicant must be a first-time home buyer with a household income that is less than 80 percent of the area median income. To qualify, the annual income for a two-person household must be no more than $51,150; for a three-person household, $57,550; for a four-person household, $63,900; and for a five-person household, $69,050. Preference will be given to applicants who live in North Andover, work in North Andover, and/or have children attending school in North Andover. Application seminars are scheduled to take place at the Stevens Library, 345 Main St., on April 29 and May 6. Both seminars are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. For more information, call 978-685-1823.
