Representatives of WorldTech Engineering of Woburn, which is working on the proposed Wakefield/Lynnfield Rail Trail project, will discuss the concept, explain the design process, and show pictures and graphics of the proposed location for the trail at a public forum scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Lynnfield High School media center, 275 Essex St. The forum is being touted as an opportunity for the public to receive information about the project, express opinions, raise concerns, and ask questions. The proposed rail trail extends from the Galvin Middle School in Wakefield north to the Lynnfield/Peabody town Line, a distance of approximately 4.4 miles. The Lynnfield portion begins at the Wakefield town line in Reedy Meadow and follows the abandoned rail line to the Peabody city line, approximately 2½ miles.
