Tsarnaev Widow Subpoenaed in Waltham Slayings

A federal grand jury has subpoenaed the wife of dead Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev in connection with an investigation into a 2011 triple homicide in Waltham, the Associated Press reports:

The attorney for the wife of the dead Boston Marathon bombing suspect says a federal grand jury asked her for items that belonged to one of the victims in a triple slaying in a Boston suburb nearly three years ago.

The attorney for Tsarnaev's widow, Katherine Russell, says a grand jury asked her for items that belonged to Brendan Mess, one of the three people killed in the Waltham triple slaying and a friend of Tsarnaev's. Attorney Amato DeLuca says Russell doesn't have anything that belongs to Mess.

Authorities believe Tsarnaev may have helped kill the three men with Ibragim Todashev, the Florida man shot by an FBI agent after he allegedly attacked interrogators with a knife.
