The city of Boston will now offer year-round leaf and yard waste collection services, Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s office announced today.

Through the program, which is run by the Department of Public Works (DPW), residents can leave their yard waste curbside and the DPW will collect it and compost it.

The program will now be expanded into the summer with four collection periods during the weeks of June 16, July 14, August 11, and September 15. The spring collection period runs for fours weeks between April 28 and May 23. Fall waste collections take place over seven weeks from October 13 to November 28.
