One firefighter was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital after he experienced chest pains while battling a two-alarm blaze on Beacon Hill Saturday night, the Boston Globe reported.
Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald told the Globe that the fire, which displaced five people, began around 10p.m. at 119 Charles Street. The fire took more than an hour to extinguish and caused about $1 million in damage.
The building is home to the store Boston Antiques Company, which is located in the basement.
It’s unclear what caused the fire. The firefighter’s condition is also unknown.
