A sketch depicting the man believed to be responsible for a child abduction in Rockland on Tuesday has been released.

The man, who allegedly led a 9-year-old boy into his car outside a Rockland elementary school, is described as an older white man with a medium build and salt-and-pepper hair. Police said he drove a light-colored four-door sedan and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with “USN” written on the front.

Investigators say the man abducted the child, drove through Rockland and Abington for 25 minutes, and then released the boy near Lake Street in Abington. The boy was unharmed in the incident, but police believe it may have been a “dry run” for another abduction.
