Recovered from the man's jeans was the key to a Kryptonite bicycle lock. The key was not registered. The jeans themselves were American Eagle brand blue jeans with a 30" waist, suggesting a slim build, cinched with a black, braided leather belt.

He was also wearing boxer shorts bearing an image resembling a Volkswagen Bug with a surfboard on its rooftop.

The body was found April 30 in shallow water along the beach. The body was badly decomposed when found. Medical examiners have not yet determined a cause of death.
