A friend of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, charged with helping destroy evidence in the bombing case, wants to wear street clothes during his upcoming appearances, according to The Boston Globe.

Dias Kadyrbayev’s lawyer argued that the media attention on the case has led to court drawings of Kadyrbayev in orange prisoner shirts and pants, which could prejudice potential jurors.

?It would help lessen the potential prejudice to the defendant to be portrayed in print and on television as wearing normal, street clothes rather than the typical orange jail jumpsuit,? the attorney, Robert G. Stahl, said in the court filing Tuesday.
