An Arlington man was arraigned today on charges of possessing child pornography, Attorney General Martha Coakley’s Office announced today.

Michael J. Thomas, 30, entered a plea of not guilty this morning in Cambridge District Court. Judge Roanne Sragow set bail at $5,000 with the conditions that Thomas does not leave the state, has no have access the Internet, has no contact with children under 18, and submit to GPS monitoring.

On Tuesday evening, State Police executed a search warrant on Thomas’s home, where they seized a computer that allegedly had images of child pornography.

State Police had been investigating information that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received in April about a computer containing child pornography. During the investigation, State Police tracked the computer to Thomas’s residence in Arlington.

Coakley’s office said the investigation is still ongoing.
