It’s a dog-walker-beat-dog-walker world out there.

The MetroWest Daily News has the skinny on two dog walkers coming to blows over clients in Wayland. Maria Podolskaya, 23, of Framingham was arrested on Wednesday and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

The woman told police she was walking when Podolskaya confronted her, accusing her of stealing dog-walking customers. Police said Podolskaya hit the woman in the face, scratching her. She also kicked the woman in the ribs, bruising her, police said.

At the time of the attack, Podolskaya was walking several dogs, and as many as 10 dogs ran into the woods during the fight. Police said the dog officer had to round them all up.

Podolskaya was also charged with having too many dogs on leash at the same time, violating a town regulation, according to the Daily News.
