AARP Brings Celebrities, Sports Legends to Boston for National Expo

The AARP is holding its Life@50 National Event & Expo today in Boston and will feature an all-star lineup of celebrities and sports legends.

The three-day event kicked off this morning with a discussion with former first lady Laura Bush and her daughter Barbara Pierce Bush, moderated by journalist Soledad O’Brien.

Later today, there will be a panel featuring Celtics legend Bill Russell, former Patriots quarterback Steve Grogan, former Red Sox pitcher Luis Tiant, and Mike Eruzione, the captain of the 1980 American Olympic hockey team.

Other events today will feature Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman and hero Carlos Arredondo as well as singer Linda Ronstadt.

The expo, which began on Thursday, is taking place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and will continue through Saturday. The expo features a variety of events inlcuding panel discussions, exhibits, and volunteer opportunities. More information can be found here.
