Marshfield Man Held on Child Porn Charges

A Marshfield man is being held on $100,000 bail after police executing a search warrant allegedly found child pornography on his computer, the Patriot Ledger reports.

According to the Patriot Ledger, Massachusetts State Police and Marshfield Police were searching the home of Shawn Hadigan, 37, when they allegedly found digital evidence of child pornography. Marshfield Police Lt. Paul Taber told the Patriot Ledger that when police tried to speak with Hadigan, he grabbed a kitchen knife and began cutting his neck before turning the knife on police.

Taber said the warrant was part of an ongoing investigation by the Marshfield Police Department in collaboration with the Digital Evidence Multimedia Section of the State Police.

Hadigan was arrested and charged with charged with two counts of possessing child pornography, distributing material of a nude child, resisting arrest, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
