‘Why, Yes, I Am (Smoking Pot), Officer’

Say what you will about alleged criminals: sometimes they make it easy for you.

A 30-year-old driver was cited in Springfield for alleged operation under the influence of drugs, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to wear a seat belt after coolly admitting to officers he was smoking pot while driving.

The Associated Press reports an officer was allegedly “covered in a plume of smoke” after Ricky Allende of Springfield rolled down his window for a traffic stop just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
