A 31-year-old man is in custody after authorities reportedly found an apparent methamphetamine lab in his Watertown home Friday.
The block around the two-family house was shut down to traffic as both federal and state law enforcement investigated the hazardous scene.
“We received some information of odors coming from the house behind here at 10 Winter Street officers responded, they could smell some odors, they were with the landlord they saw some things that led us to get the search warrant to this residence,” Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn told NECN.
Kyle Tuschall, who lived in the building, reportedly attempted to push through police as he arrived home to find them searching his property.
He was arrested and charged with assault and battery on an officer, and will likely face additional drug charges.
