A level three sex offender was arrested by MBTA transit police officers Friday night, after the man allegedly indecently assaulted an autistic teen in the Harvard Square T Station.
“The victim...was not a willing participant and attempted to pull away,” police said in a statement.
Thomas Dabrikas, 60, who claims a Boston homeless shelter as his residence, was still at the scene when police responded to the call. He was taken into custody and charged with indecent assault and battery, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Cambridge District Court Monday.
As a level three sex offender, Dabrikas is considered to pose a “high degree of dangerousness” to the public with a “moderate or high risk” of reoffending.
Dabrikas was convicted on four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age and another single count of rape and abuse of a child in 1989.
