A bookish young millionaire appears to be cruising around Boston in a black Lamborghini rocking a “GATSBY” license plate, honoring the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald character.

Reddit user “smellyorange” posted a photo yesterday of the car in Brookline:

Turns out the car has been around since at least 2011. Here are some other spottings:

So what’s the deal here? Reddit user “BostonSwashbuckler” dropped a hint on a thread earlier today with this info:

I know this guy! My friend lives across the street from him. Without giving too much away about him, he basically made a bunch of money in the stocks a couple of years ago, and now he is like a 25 year old millionaire. Pretty cool actually.

We can only hope that this guy and his girlfriend drive safely so that (spoiler alert!) no mistresses accidentally get killed on Boylston St. Alas, this mystery man will probably just beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly out to Cape Cod.
