Boston Police Apprehend Bank Robbery Suspect

Boston Police apprehended a man who allegedly robbed a bank at the Prudential Center today.

The Boston Globe reported that a getaway car fled Santander bank at 800 Boylston around 1:30 pm and was then spotted by an officer nearby.

Boston Police spokesman James Kenneally told The Globe that a suspect is in custody and a firearm was recovered from the getaway car.

Police have blocked off about a block and a half near The Prudential Center, at West Newton street and St. Botolph street.
