Lowell Police are looking for a suspect after at least four people were shot at a local house party Wednesday night, including one woman who was shot in the chest.
Police responded at approximately 11 p.m. to reports of shots fired at 58 Midland St. and found several people had been shot. Some of those victims were taken to area hospitals by ambulance, while others were transported by personal vehicles.
The two victims taken by ambulance were a woman who had been shot in the chest and a man who had been shot in the leg. The genders and injuries of the two other victims were not clear.
Many neighbors believed the shots were simply fireworks.
Police told The Lowell Sun that the incident does not appear to be random, but no arrests have been made. Officials said the shooting remains under investigation.
