Man Allegedly Breaks into House on Kennedy Compound, Looking for Katy Perry, JFK

A man is due in court on Wednesday after allegedly breaking into a house on the Kennedy family’s Hyannisport property, according to several reports.

WCVB reported that Ted Kennedy Jr. was in Connecticut when he called Barnstable police at 9:37 p.m. to report a break-in. According to the report, Kennedy had called the home at 111 Irving Ave. to check on his son when a stranger answered the phone.

According to the Cape Cod Times, police responded and found James Lacroix, 53, inside the home. The Times report said Lacroix told police he was looking for pop music star Katy Perry. WCVB’s Jim Lokay tweeted that police say he also claimed to be looking for President John F. Kennedy.

HyannisNews.com reported that Lacroix was arrested and will be charged with breaking and entering in the daytime and will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court.

There were no injuries in the alleged break-in, according to WBZ.
