Police have taken a Salem man into custody and charged him in the alleged Friday night kidnapping of a woman in Wenham, according to mutiple news reports.
Justin Raymond, 23, reportedly assaulted a Wenham homeowner and then held her 21-year-old daughter at knifepoint before taking her from the Topsfield Road home.
Raymond’s charges include threatening to commit a crime and armed assault.
Many police departments, including a helicopter and k-9 units, were involved in finding Raymond, who was found hiding in a storage area under a home on Burnham Road, reported NECN.
The kidnapping was reported around 10:30 p.m. The daughter, whose name was not released, was found not far from the Topsfield Road home around an hour later. Shewas briefly hospitalized in Beverly, according to WBZ-TV.
