Police retrieved a body from a river in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.
The Sentinel and Enterprise reported that the body was found in the Nashua River near Water Street at approximately 9 a.m., but was not pulled from the river until about 11:20 a.m.
According to WHDH, the body was a man and police are not yet sure whether his death is suspicious. The Boston Globe added that he was believed to be in his 40s. WHDH’s Kimberly Bookman reported that four technical rescue officials and a ladder truck were needed to retrieve the body.
The scene is still active as police continue to investigate.
