1 Injured When 20-Foot Wave Disables Commuter Ferry from Provincetown

A commuter ferry en route to Boston was stuck five miles off the coast of Scituate Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a large wave, The Boston Globe reports.

The Coast Guard told WBZ that the wave broke windows and damaged the vessel’s generator. One member of the crew was taken to Mass General with minor injuries.

The Bay State Cruises boat, carrying 42 passengers, was stuck just north of Scituate, WHDH reports. A sister ferry was dispatched to tow the boat to Boston and could take up to two hours to return to land.
