A shooting on Edinboro Street in Chinatown Saturday night that resulted in four people being hospitalized shed some light on a growing concern about late-night violence in the area, The Boston Globe reports.
According to the report, many people flock to the area after a night out on the town, hoping to eat a meal before heading home. But the crowds have also brought some illicit activity to Chinatown’s streets.
But residents and others said the narrow, one-block street’s overnight persona — where crowds come for late-night meals and drug users congregate — has been increasingly troubled in recent years.
