Some Service Resumes After Green Line Derailment

Update 4:30 p.m.: Shuttles continue to replace B-Line service between Blandford and Kenmore Stations, according to an updated service alert on the MBTA website.

Regular C- and D-Line service has resumed.

Original article: All Green Line trains are experiencing “severe delays” after an outbound train derailed in a tunnel near Kenmore Station before 10 a.m. Monday morning, according to Boston Fire officials.

There were no reported injuries, though one passenger required assistance with an evacuation. WBZ reports there was no damage to the train and that an investigation is underway to determine the cause.

Buses will replace B-line trains between Blandford and Copley, according to the MBTA website. Shuttles will also provide all Green Line service between Kenmore and Copley.

Officials asked riders to use the Orange Line downtown where possible.
