Boston Police say five teens aged 12 to 15 were arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing a Hyde Park man at knifepoint.
The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Business Street and Reservation Road, and ended when police pursued the suspects on foot.
Authorities said that officers apprehended three suspects, two of which fled on bikes, before identifying two more allegedly involved teens.
“One of the victims stated that he was approached by one of the individuals who demanded his cell phone whilst waving a knife at the victim,” a department press release read. “Most of the victim’s possessions were recovered, but officers were unable to locate the suspect responsible for stealing the victim’s sneakers.”
The five boys have been charged with armed robbery and assault and battery.
