Wondering when exactly you can expect to see a major influx in the amount of college students galavanting around Boston? Brace yourself: they’re coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

There are roughly 250,000 college and university students in Boston and Cambridge during the school year, and most of them are due to arrive around Labor Day weekend. The vast vajority of city apartment leases start and end on September 1, and most undergraduate classes are set to begin within the following week, so enjoy your long-weekend cookouts while you can.
