Sudbury Police have arrested a 17-year-old teen they say tried to abduct two 12-year-old boys on Wednesday. The two boys told police that the 17-year-old pulled up in a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon and said something sexually suggestive to them. He then tried to get them to get in his car.
“This was a disturbing situation, involving two young children. We are fortunate that they were able to get away and seek the help of an adult, which ultimately led to the arrest of this suspect today,” Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said in a statement. “I commend these boys for their bravery and our officers for quickly finding this dangerous suspect.”
Police spotted the vehicle as they were responding to the original call. they arrested the 17-year-old Sudbury teen, who was unnamed by police because he is a minor. He was released to his parents and is awaiting arraignment in juvenile court, according to police.
