A woman suspected of being the eyepatch-wearing, Patriots-clothing-clad bank robber who allegedly held up a Mansfield bank has been arrested.
Michelle Dinnocenzo was arrested on Wednesday at her Mansfield home. Dinnocenzo is accused of being the woman who robbed the Rockland Federal Credit Union on Tuesday while wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants with the New England Patriots logo on them, a medicinal eyepatch, sunglasses, and flip-flops.
According to the Mansfield Police Department, investigators recognized Dinnocenzo from a recent court appearance for unrelated charges. They went to her house and waited for a search warrant to be issued, during which time Dinnocenzo allegedly returned home and attempted to get into her house by removing an air conditioner and climbing through the window, rather than using the door. She was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Police searched the home and say they found “articles of clothing that appeared in the bank surveillance video” as well as money and “other items of interest.”
In her mugshot, Dinnocenzo does not appear to be wearing any Patriots-themed clothing or an eyepatch, nor is there any of the “extensive bruising” around her eyes that appeared on the security video.
Dinnocenzo has been charged with unarmed robbery, larceny over $250, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. She is scheduled to appear in Attleboro District Court on Thursday.
