Dalai Lama's schedule in Boston

The Dalai Lama arrived in San Francisco Sept. 5, and went from there to Bloomington, Ind., and then to Washington, where, on the second anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, he was to offer a teaching on peace at the National Cathedral. He arrives in Boston on Sept. 12 for a four-day visit. After that, he is scheduled to visit New York City, where he will give four days of teachings on Buddhism at the Beacon Theatre and then a free public talk in Central Park on Sept. 21.
Below are the major events scheduled during the Dalai Lama's trip to Boston:
Friday, Sept. 12
11:30 a.m. Consecration of the Kurukulla Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies in Medford. By invitation only. For information visit www.kurukulla.org.
2:30 p.m. News conference at Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Open only to media with credentials.
3:30 p.m. Meets with Tibetan residents of Boston area at Memorial Church, Harvard. Open only to local Tibetans.
Saturday, Sept. 13
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attends "Investigating the Mind" conference at MIT. Tickets are sold out. For information visit www.investigatingthemind.org.
Sunday, Sept. 14
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attends second day of "Investigating the Mind" conference at MIT.
