It's off to the regionals now for Acme Theater.
The Maynard theater group won the award for best production at the 51st Annual Community Theatre Drama Festival, which was held Memorial Day weekend at Babson College in Wellesley.
Its production of "Lonely Planet" was chosen from 10 plays performed by members of the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres.
This marks the third win in eight years for Acme, which will go on to the regional competition in New Hampshire this July. Acme also won best set design.
Other area theaters also took home awards.
Katie Elinoff of Holliston's Washington Street Players tied for best supporting actress. Shannon Allen of The Hovey Players in Waltham won best stage manager, and Hovey also received the special adjudicator's award for realism in a scene.
The Vokes Players of Wayland were among the top four finalists for best production.
